The Communication & PR department is the link between sc Heerenveen and the media. This department is the contact point for general information about the club. In addition, the Communication & PR department handles the accreditations for home matches and receives, assesses and handles the requests for interviews with the club’s management, trainers, players and employees.

On the day before a match sc Heerenveen distributes a newsletter by email. Press releases are also distributed by email. If you would like to receive the sc Heerenveen newsletter or the club’s press releases, please send an email to perszaken.

Requests for interviews with the management, trainers, players and employees of sc Heerenveen are coordinated by the Communication & PR department. An interview request should be submitted by email to: perszaken@sc-heerenveen.nl.
The request must state the medium for which the interview is intended and the topic of the interview. The deadline must also be stated.
When an application concerns the printed media, the Communication & PR department has the right to see the text before publication and, in the event of factual inaccuracies, to amend the text. This will be done in consultation with the journalist concerned.
The Communication & PR department must be given a reasonable amount of time for this procedure.

Information about the squad’s training times and training locations are posted on the sc Heerenveen website: www.sc-heerenveen.nl.
On the day before a match, the training session is open to the media. This provides the opportunity for short chats about the coming match with the players and/or the trainer.
No photography, filming or sound recording is permitted at the training location without the club’s permission.

Any media representative attending an sc Heerenveen home match (First Division, KNVB Cup and any play-off matches) should be in possession of an accreditation.
Accreditation requests can be submitted up to three working days prior to the day of the match. To apply for an accreditation, you must be in possession of an NSP/AISP-card. The application for an accreditation can only be submitted by email: accreditation@sc-heerenveen.nl. The application should include the following details: name of the medium, type of medium (radio, television, photography or print), the names and job titles of the persons to be accredited and their registration number with the NSP/AISP, and the applicant’s telephone number.
When the accreditation request has been granted, the applicant receives confirmation from sc Heerenveen. The admission ticket will be
ready for collection on the day of the match (up to 90 minutes before the start of the match) from the press counter. It can be collected on production of the confirmation and the NSP-card, the press counter is located at entrance C of the Abe Lenstra stadium.
Displaying your NSP-card entitles you to park at the Abe Lenstra stadium.
Accreditation requests for international matches should be submitted through the Netherlands Sportsjournalists Association (NSP): www.nsp.nl.
Accreditation for sc Heerenveen’s away matches is organised through the visiting club or via the Netherlands Sportsjournalists Association (NSP).

The press room of the Abe Lenstra stadium is on the first floor and is accessible via entrance C. 

The press gallery is reached via the second floor. The gallery for written press is located in section 6; the commentators’ positions are in section 4. No cameras are allowed in the press gallery.

The right-holders’ zone is located in the players’ tunnel. After the match, this zone is accessible to holders of TV and radio rights.

The television rights for the 2007/2008 season have been distributed as follows:
• RTL for the summaries of the Eredivisie (the Dutch highest league) and the KNVB Cup
• Tele2 for Eredivisie Live
• NOS for the UEFA Cup.

As the regional broadcaster, Omrop Fryslân has the second rights. No other media are permitted to make record¬ings during or of the match.

The radio rights are held by the NOS. As the regional broadcaster, Omrop Fryslân has the second rights. No other radio broadcasters are permitted to broadcast a live match report. In both the mixed zone and the press room broadcasters have the oppor¬tunity to make their own recordings after the match.

A WIFI-internet connection can be used in the stadium. Log-in cards can be obtained from the Communication & PR manager. Ethernet outlets are also available in the press room.
